Giving Back to Isara Remo; Chief Segun Ganiyu (The Seriki of Isara Remo).

COUNT DOWN TO AFOTAMODI FESTIVAL  - DAY 1

Giving Back to Isara Remo;

Chief Segun Ganiyu (The Seriki of Isara Remo)

- Saheed 'Lanre Fidelity

1st November, 2023.

let's begin the 11 days counting down to our prestigious Afotamodi Festival 2023 while we read about giving back to Isara to make it better individually and or collectively, anyhow it is convenient for us to give back to Isara since it's our hometown.

The truth is, every one of us loves Isara, No doubt, we are very proud of our hometown, Isara wherever we are in the world. We all have a role to play no matter how small. While i was growing up in Isara, we had a lot of Isara leaders who were always at the forefront when it came to community matters. they devoted their money, time, and effort towards the development of Isara.

Today, many of them are proudly Isara indigenes with notable impact and commitment towards community progress and way forward.  God bless people like the Giwa of Isara Remo Otunba Engr. Dele Amoda and the rest of the others are doing fine in giving back to Isara Remo.

Then, on this note, I would like to especially appreciate our very dear and humble Seriki of Isara Remo, Chief Segun Ganiyu for all he's been doing being his way of giving back to Isara. I feel he needs to be encouraged, I give it to him and his style of giving back to Isara. It's a singular approach though but it's usually a start-to-finish project to his credit.

In 2020, in preparation for taking up the chieftaincy title as the Seriki of Isara, he facilitated the artwork on the Aafin Odemo fence and he painted it, giving the palace a visually appealing look as one of the community houses that we all can call our house as an indigene of Isara Remo.

Early this year, he also used his connection and membership opportunities in one of the clubs in the country to facilitate the distribution of writing materials to some primary schools in Isara Remo, i know he has some other moves underground to the development of Isara and God will help him to achieve it.

Recently, as we prepare for this year's festival, Chief Segun Ganiyu the Seriki of Isara has contracted the Richarts Konsult Ng. to facilitate the outdoor painting and artwork decoration of the Palace of the Odemo of Isara Remo. This to me is another big height, very well commended of him and God will continue to bless Seriki for all he's doing.

Now, apart from the town hall where most of the festival activities are going to take place, The Palace of the Odemo of Isara is another community house where Isara would be hosting visitors and great royals. Seriki must have thought that the palace needs to look nice and visually appealing, it has to look tush enough to host guests.

People have the love of Isara at heart but they need to be encouraged, we need to always encourage ourselves to do better. anything we feel we can do, let us do our bit, its going to be an addition. and there is something i truly believe is that there is no how you bless Isara that you will not get it back in folds of many values so far you are plain in it.

This palace painting project, it's an open project to anyone who wishes to give back to Isara to embark on. There are many other projects too that individuals or group can embark on just to better our home town. Another youth who I will always acknowledge and appreciate his style of giving back to Isara is bros Lukmon Ige Sowemimo the Director and CEO of L&K Hotel Isara Remo.

Not only that he come to Isara to invest and make his investment a source of employment for Isara youths but also, but he has also embarked on different projects in Isara, he was the one who facilitated the fencing of the Isara Police HQ.

Another Illustrious Isara son who is also doing fine in giving back to Isara is our very dear Dr. Segun Ogunfowora the Basigun of Isara who is now been joined by Dr. Wole Akisanya to initiate and sponsor free medical services, Diabetes and Hypertension medical treatment and prescription of drugs to the elderly people in Isara for the past five years and its non-stop. May God continue to bless all of them.

We also have some groups and associations that give back to Isara's widows, elders, youths, education scholarships, and more of these gestures, and once again I say, God will continue to bless every one of them.  This is truly the way to go and God will make it easy for all of us, sons and daughters of Isara to be able to contribute as we wish towards the development of Isara.

In unity, Isara will develop, it will progress and we all will be happy in it.

The people of Isara need an adequate power supply, the town has always been in darkness and this is very very deplorable, our neighboring towns are prioritized and they are enjoying the supply more than we do. This is enough of the reasons why investors may not patronize us. there is no stable power supply, there are times the town will be thrown into darkness for days, especially when it rains.

There is a lasting solution to this effect, we need a Power Summit in Isara, to let the leaders and stakeholders come together on a roundtable to discuss lasting solutions. there are so many of us who now have our hostels built across the town. We all should work towards something before the next Afotamodi festival in 2024. God will keep us to witness many of these.

Happy Afotamodi Festival in advance to all of us, The sons and daughters of Isara at home and in the diaspora. May God keep us to witness many festivals of happiness,

God bless Chief Segun Ganiyu,

The Seriki of Isara for this Palace painting project🙏

God bless the Isara Development Council,

God bless our Kabiyesi,

Oba Albert Adebose Mayungbe

God bless me,

Saheed 'Lanre Fidelity
