We Won’t Skip the Festival – Please Don’t Miss It! 😍🙏


Patriotic greetings to all friends and illustrious sons and daughters of Isara Remo, both at home and abroad.

In earnest preparation for a successful, impactful, and all-inclusive Afotamodi Festival, I bring warm regards on behalf of the Afotamodi 2025 Central Planning Committee Chairman, Baale Adebisi Osideinde and his team, with permission from the Isara Development Council.

Though we recently bade farewell to our revered royal father, Alaiyeluwa Oba Albert Adebose Mayungbe, (Erinsiba III), the Odemo of Isara, who has joined the ancestors, we give thanks that the mourning rites were concluded with honour and the community continues to mourn his demise following strict protocols, 

The timing of the 2025 festival falls outside the official mourning period — a green light from both tradition and the progressive spirit of our late monarch that Afotamodi 2025 will go on as planned! 🕊️👑


📅 Mark your calendar: The Grand Finale will be held on Saturday, November 8th, 2025, the second Saturday of November, as always.


Afotamodi Festival is our unifying symbol. It's where we proudly celebrate our rich heritage, communal spirit, and cultural pride. From parades to performances, prayers to parties — it’s a celebration of everything Isara stands for. ❤️💃🏾🕺🏽

  IN MEMORY OF ODEMO SAMUEL ADETAYO AKISANYA, AFONLADE II ODEMO OF ISARA REMO (1941 - 1985) 126TH BIRTHDAY IN POSTHUMOUS  - The attached video is 56 years old.  When the palace of Great Saki Oba Samuel Akisanya, The late Odemo of Isara was razed down by an irate mob in 1968.  - He was one of the great Nigerian Nationalists and that was his palace where the late Chief Obafemi Awolowo was a regular visitor.  - Odemo Samuel Adetayo Akisanya was born in Isara on the 1st of August, 1898 (126 years ago today)... - HRH S.A Akisanya was a member of the Nigerian Youth Movement. Other members of the Movement which was at that time a quasi-political/pressure group were Nnamdi Azikiwe, Ernest Ikoli, Alvan Ikoku, Akinola Maja, H.O.
