5th Anniversary of a Virtuous Woman’s Passing

Today, we honour the life and legacy of Hajia Zainab Adenike Bakare (ZAB) — a deeply loved wife, mother, and healthcare hero — who passed away on June 12, 2020, during the COVID-19 pandemic.

The late Hajia Zainab Adenike Bakare ZAB (nee Amusan- Awosolojude Ole) was the head of the Intensive Care Unit at the Ikeja General Hospital in  Lagos State University Teaching Hospital before her demise during the COVID pandemic on the 12th of June, 2020.

Born to the family of Pa. Amusan Awosolojude Ole at Isara Remo on the 6th of July, 1967 and married to Alhaji Taoheed Taiwo Bakare from the Olori Kurege Bakare family of Isara Remo.

To mark five years since her transition, her husband Alhaji Taoheed Bakare and son Farouk Olamide Bakare, alongside family and friends, donated medical equipment and consumables to the State Hospital, Isara Remo — her hometown — in fulfilment of Sadaqat Jariya (continuous charity).

Hajia Zainab was the Head of ICU at LASUTH, and her passion for saving lives continues through this gesture.

🏥 Donated Medical Equipment Includes:

Ambulance stretcher, oxygen concentrator, suction machine

Wheelchairs, digital thermometers, BP monitors

Surgical tools & delivery kits

Gloves, syringes, saline water & more

A true daughter of Isara Remo, born July 6, 1967, she dedicated her life to caregiving, compassion, and service to Allah (SWT).

💬 “She lived to serve humanity and Allah ( SWT )  . We pray these tools save lives — just as she always tried to.” — Farouk Bakare

🕊️ We pray Allah (SWT) continues to forgive her shortcomings, accept her good deeds, and grant her Aljanah Firdaus. Ameen.
