SAAPADE TRANSMISSION PROJECT; ISARA YOUTH COUNCIL APPLAUDS THE BALOGUN OF ISARA, OTUNBA ENGR. OLADELE AMODA FNSE.

“I am of the opinion that my life belongs to the whole community and as long as I live, it is my privilege to do for it whatever I can.” - George Bernard Shaw.

The short lines above are closely related to the commitment of our patriotic Engr. Oladele Amoda the amiable Chairman of Isara Patriotic Forum towards the development of Isara and by extension Remo North and Remo as a whole.

Infrastructure is the backbone of economic growth. It improves access to basic services such as electricity, creates jobs among the youths and boosts business.

It's with a heart full of delight that Isara Youth Council, under the leadership of its president, Comrade Bashir Olawale Soyemi on behalf of the board of trustees, and youths of Isara at home and in the diaspora applauds our very supportive father for his contribution to the Saapade transmission project from day one to this present stage.

ABOUT THE PROJECT AND ITS IMPORTANCE ON THE ECONOMIC GROWTH AND DEVELOPMENT OF REMO NORTH

There are 3 major projects proposed to be sited on the vast land (about 10 hectares) released by Isara Community to the Transmission Company of Nigeria (TCN). The entire parcel of land was fully fenced by TCN several years ago.

The first project is a 63MVA(Transformer), 132/33k Mobile substation with a full control system and other associated equipment. The 132kv lines have been constructed and connected to the existing 132kv lines going from Ibadan to Sagamu Transmission Station. Construction of 33kv feeders to evacuate supply from the new station to take power to Isara, Ode, Ipara, Akaka, Ilara and part of Iperu up to Christ Apostolic School will soon commence. The project cost is about 10.5 billion  (yes billions) and is being executed by FGN Power Company (Siemens/FGN funded). Hopefully, the project will be commissioned before the end of the year. After commissioning, the communities mentioned will no longer take power supply from Sagamu Transmission Station.

The second project proposed is a much bigger 2X60MVA, 132/33KV substation with full gantries, buildings etc. This is being handled by the Transmission Company of Nigeria (TCN). The last sitting of the Federal Executive Council of President Buhari's administration approved and awarded it along with other projects from all over the country.

TCN is also looking at making part of the site a hub (central warehouse)for storing power transformers and transmission equipment/materials collected from Apapa wharf before being distributed to other parts of the country.

These complex projects were conceived by the Giwa of Isara Remo, Otunba Engr. Oladele Amoda in 2012 and he single-handedly followed through with rigours and several hurdles with his financial commitment, going through hopes and setbacks.

Upon the completion of the first phase of the project, Isara Youth Council deem it necessary to send this note of appreciation considering the employment benefits of the Transmission Station on the part of Isara and Remo North youths. We believe that there is no how the youths from the towns in Remo North won't benefit from the giant project.

That's apart from the main reason for the project which is the adequate electricity supply to all the towns. That's no doubt going to serve as an economic boost bringing succour to business owners within the towns.

In addition to these, It is also believed that a stable electricity supply would encourage business owners and industries to bank on the opportunity of our large areas of land in Ward four areas of Isara to bring their businesses.

Once again, we want to sincerely appreciate Otunba Engr. Oladele Amoda for his show of love and support, representing the great people of Isara every time Clarion calls him to do so, he has touched almost every sector through which the community growth could improve, he hasn't stopped and we pray to God to continue to bless him to do more.

It's one of the reasons why we the youths of Isara stood by him that he's most worthy of the chieftaincy title, “BALOGUN OF ISARA” " He has just gone to fight and won with landslides for progress and betterment of Isara Remo.

Baba Amozzy, the Isara Youth Council is hereby recommending and applauding you worthy of the Balogun Isara Chieftaincy title for the good strides and your effort towards the betterment of Isara and Remo North. We are elated that you are creating a great legacy that will stand the test of time! Writing your name in the book Isara History.

We are hopeful that, the youths of Isara Remo will be gainfully employed in the future as work commences at different sections of the transmission station, we trust your efforts and we are assured by your action, passion and love for the youths.

Most importantly, we also appreciate the federal government of Nigeria for its thoughtfulness and deeming it important to approve such a gigantic project in our domain right there at Saapade.

We all know the big development the Gateway Polytechnic Saapade has brought to Isara Remo and we are also elated that bigger projects of economic growth and transformation are coming to Isara by God's grace.

We appreciate all the sons and daughters of Isara Remo who have been helpful and supportive as well during the project, we pray that God will continue to bless and support you in all you do.

Thank you all,

God bless all of us, sons and daughters of Isara Remo,

Long live Kabiyesi Alaiyeluwa Oba Albert Adebose Mayungbe
