ÌSARÀ AFOTAMODI

COUNTDOWN TO THE 2022 AFOTAMODI FESTIVAL - DAY 3

Discussing:

ÌSARÀ AFOTAMODI

Our Dear HomeTown in Retrospect

Saheed 'Lanre Fidelity

- 4th November 2022.

We marvel at the ancient architectural wonders that attract tourists the world over. Victories and failures, traditions and heritage, make history ever-changing. Yet history remains the same

There's a certain vibe in my hometown; ISARA is a city that has no illusions…

Isara! Our hometown is a memorable place for all, the very place where we were born or grew up.

Whether your home was in a city or the country, it is where you came from. Plenty to feel proud of... ISARA REMO.

I feel proud when I tell people out there that am from Isara Remo! Isara is a great place bigger than what outsiders think and naturally beneficial to anyone who knows how to live it.

When we were young, most of us dreamt of moving to a big city and working for a reputable company or being the CEO of an establishment. But when we grew up and start earning, we realize what our hometown meant to us.

A hometown is not just a place or a country. It’s a place where you get to see yourself growing and hold all the unforgettable memories of your childhood.

Sons and daughters of Isara, be encouraged to move closer to your root, your aboriginal place of ancestral belongings, that's the only place where you use little or no money to buy pride.

There could be many cities or places that we visit in our lifetime, one name that we will never forget is our hometown, “ISARA”.

We have many sons and daughters of Isara out there who are hoping to make it big before they would come back to the town, but that can only be possible if God says yes! Little did they know that some successful people at Isara will tell you they can't sleep a night anywhere except Isara and they are happy in it.

On the other hand, there are also known members of that community that traveled empty and came back empty, only to come and become somebody after coming back to settle at home - Isara.

Truly, living in Isara requires extra in-depth knowledge of the people, Isara language can seem to be logical at times, just learn to deal with it because it's everywhere... I have one thing that, if anyone could live in Isara and be active in it for 20 years, then the person can live in any part of the world with the knowledge gathered at Isara.

 I think that's why the elders of Isara usually say the following, I don't know if you have heard it before but I have heard my grandpa of blessed memory say it many times thus;

"Koo kawe, kee ka'Sara; about uwe to ka"

"Koo kose, kee ko'Sara;

Vey shi ko 'se pe ooo"

But to be sincere Isara is a good place to be, always come, at least once in while, take a tour around the town, and have a glimpse into what the new Isara has turned out to be.

Apart from the compounds and quarters that we used to have; Isara has now expanded towards the nooks and crannies to the extent that we now have new sites in every direction you choose to face at Isara.

Forget it, I came from the back end of a hole in the ground in the woods of Isara Remo - Majago🤩. I went to School, lived in Isara, imagined the future of the great place, and am proud as ever of where I come from.

But it's a great place to live and a more real life than the city if you ask me, more human. You know your neighbors. Anyway, point is, move in and you'll appreciate it by comparison.

A fish doesn't know what it feels like to be wet, only because it's never been dry. Go get dry and you'll want to dive back in. And when you're there, people will ask you where you're from, and you'll be proud to tell them...

We don't have to wait till that horrible time when we would have to buy land from visitors who now seem like the real owners because the original owner lost it long before then.

Our Isara is Ours!

God bless Isara Remo,

Our dear city of joy,

Afotamodi K'Ogun ma wolu.

God bless the sons and daughters of Isara,

Long live the Odemo of Isara

Kabiyesi Alaiyeluwa,

God bless me...

Saheed 'Lanre Fidelity 🙏

Happy 53rd Afotamodi Festival to all of us;

The sons and daughters of Isara Remo.

Tijomuren a soju eni n'oruko Olorun ati Osi Isara🙏
