This year’s festival has not only showcased our rich cultural heritage but also reflected the power of unity that defines us as a people. From the planning committee to the traditional council, from community leaders to the youths and women's groups, everyone played a vital role in making this year’s celebration a resounding success.

The unity and cooperation witnessed throughout the festival reaffirm that when we come together with one heart and purpose, we can achieve remarkable things. It was this collective spirit that ensured smooth organisation, vibrant participation, and a peaceful atmosphere that brought honour to our town.

Each group, in its own way, contributed time, resources, and energy, proving that progress and harmony thrive when we work together. The participation of different associations, socio-cultural clubs, and hometown unions gave this year’s festival its vibrant colour, organisation, and strength.

The spirit of togetherness that filled the air throughout the week has reaffirmed that our heritage flourishes when every hand joins in building, and every heart beats with love for the land.

As we gather at the Isara Secondary School Field for the grand finale, we celebrate not just the beauty of our traditions, but also the strength of our communal bond. Afotamodi reminds us that our culture thrives best when nurtured in unity, when every hand contributes, and every voice is heard.

It’s 51 days today, on the 1st of May, 2025, when the news of the passing to the great beyond of my very dear and beloved friend, father and highly revered Isara Remo Monarch, Alayeluwa Oba Albert Adebose Mayungbe, (Erinsiba III) joined his ancestors in playing chess of immortality. Since then, the community has continued to follow the due process according to the rules of the government and the tradition of the land.
