ISARA REMO: ILEYA FESTIVAL 2024; 

ISARA HOPE FOR WIDOWS FOUNDATION PRESENTED PALLIATIVES TO ISARA MUSLIM  WIDOWS

Today, the 10th of June, 2024, the Isara Hope for Widows Foundation had the 5th edition of their annual giveaway of food items and cash gifts to widows in Isara in light of the coming Ileya festival at Central Mosque, Isara Remo, Ogun State. 

Muslim Widows from various mosques in Isara Remo gathered in Isara central mosque as recipients of the annual palliatives shared by the Isara Hope for Widows Foundation. 

Muslim clerics at Isara were represented to anchor the prayer session which led to the opening of the event. 

Alhaji Taiwo Bakare gave a speech on the mission and vision of the foundation. In his words,  “We started with Christians five years ago with just  20 packs of rice. Fast forward to today, we have more than a hundred packs of food Items made available for the widows”. “Moving forward, there are plans to empower widows in areas of Small & Medium enterprises“. Alhaji  Taiwo reiterated. 

Alfa Abduramon Arowosafe spoke extensively on the benefits of giving. Various excerpts and recitations from the Quran were used to back up his sermon. He stated that God is happy with those who give when it is convenient and when it is not.

He thereafter appreciated the foundation for bringing together financial resources for the benefit of Isara's widows at a very challenging time like this. 

The beneficiaries of the gesture were filled with joy after they received money and food items from the foundation. They appreciated the foundation for being there for the widows annually. 

The foundation anthem was recited by members of the organization there present. 

The food items were distributed to the widows.


ISARA HOPE FOR WIDOWS FOUNDATION:

Isara Hope for Widows Foundation was pioneered by Dorcas Funmi Adenekan-Lesh and Dupe Oshinsanya. The initiative was birth to alleviate suffering and to empower widows. Members of the organization are in various countries such as the US, UK, Dublin, Nigeria, and other parts of the world.

  IN MEMORY OF ODEMO SAMUEL ADETAYO AKISANYA, AFONLADE II ODEMO OF ISARA REMO (1941 - 1985) 126TH BIRTHDAY IN POSTHUMOUS  - The attached video is 56 years old.  When the palace of Great Saki Oba Samuel Akisanya, The late Odemo of Isara was razed down by an irate mob in 1968.  - He was one of the great Nigerian Nationalists and that was his palace where the late Chief Obafemi Awolowo was a regular visitor.  - Odemo Samuel Adetayo Akisanya was born in Isara on the 1st of August, 1898 (126 years ago today)... - HRH S.A Akisanya was a member of the Nigerian Youth Movement.
