ISARA HOPE FOR WIDOWS FOUNDATION 

2022 CHRISTMAS GIVEAWAY.

Today at Methodist Church, Oke-Oja Isara, Isara Hope for widows foundation presented food items and cash gifts to Isara widows.


 "A simple lifestyle is good for us, helping us to better share with widows in need."


This year's Christmas celebration is just a few days away, it's that period of the year when the GIVERS TEAM, "Isara Hope for Widows Foundation" brings the widows of Isara who are Christians together to put smiles on their faces in their little ways.


The foundation is well known in Isara for its bi-annual gesture towards putting smiles on the faces of Isara widows; first during the Eid-il -Kabir festival for the Muslim widows and the other phase for the Christians towards the Christmas celebration. 


In the early hours of today, 16th December 2022, Alh. Taoheed Taiwo Bakare, the secretary of the foundation led the Givers Team to Methodist Church Nigeria, Oke-Oja Isara Remo for the presentation of this year's Xmas celebration gift to the widows.


The Reverend Adehina played host to the members of the foundation there present and also to the widows in attendance being content of a list compiled from all churches in Isara.


The Reverend lead the gathering into the opening prayer and Mrs. Ope Adewunmi enlightened the beneficiaries of the gesture on the mission and vision of the foundation, 


Om her address, she also spoke about other benefits that would be derived by the widows in the future as soon as God blesses the members of the foundation to do more. 


In his address, the secretary of the foundations, Alh. Taoheed Taiwo Bakare buttressed what Mrs. Ope Adewunmi has said earlier and he also reiterated the formation and style adopted by the foundation annually to bring smiles to the faces of Isara widows. 

 

The Revd. Adeshina delivered an inspiring sermon that motivates the givers to do more in that that gives to society. He expatiates further on the benefits of giving and the importance of giving the widows in our society a helping hand and the values attached to it.


The gestures of Cash and food items were later dolled out to the beneficiaries as coordinated by sister Yetunde Oyekunle and other members of the team on behalf of other members of the foundation in the diaspora. 


One of the beneficiaries of this year's gesture was marveled as she expressed her gratitude to the organizers of the annual Xmas giveaway. She further prayed for the continuous progress of the foundation and prayed for abundant blessings on the path of the members at home and abroad.


May God continue to send helpers to our widows and provide for the sons and daughters of Isara at home and Abroad. May God continue to bless all the brains behind this gesturing initiative.


SHORT HISTORY OF ISARA HOPE FOR WIDOWS FOUNDATION.


Toward the end of Nov. 2019, 

Messrs Dupe Osisanya (UK ) and Funmi Dorcas Adenekan ( UK ) in diaspora fuelled by a passion to put smiles on the face of widows set up a Whatsapp platform to promote charitable activities for the vulnerable widows of Isara indigenes by Isara indigenes. 


They shared this vision with friends in the diaspora and at home and got immediate buy-in from the followings :

126th Posthumous Birthday of Isara Monarch, Odemo Samuel Akisanya

  IN MEMORY OF ODEMO SAMUEL ADETAYO AKISANYA, AFONLADE II ODEMO OF ISARA REMO (1941 - 1985) 126TH BIRTHDAY IN POSTHUMOUS  - The attached video is 56 years old.  When the palace of Great Saki Oba Samuel Akisanya, The late Odemo of Isara was razed down by an irate mob in 1968.  - He was one of the great Nigerian Nationalists and that was his palace where the late Chief Obafemi Awolowo was a regular visitor.  - Odemo Samuel Adetayo Akisanya was born in Isara on the 1st of August, 1898 (126 years ago today)... - HRH S.A Akisanya was a member of the Nigerian Youth Movement.
