ISARA REMO ORO FESTIVAL 2021.

The traditional festival has been fixed to take place by the second weekend in September. Friday evening, 10th of September to Sunday Morning 12th of September is the day set aside to celebrate this year Odun Oro. 

Interestingly, Isara, Ipara and Ode Remo will be celebrating this festival at the same time, the same epoch-making record achieved in 2019 is going to repeat itself.

Bringing modernization and advancement into the manner within which the festival is been celebrated, Kenny Joker Entertainment in Conjunction with Fidelity Concept is presenting to you all EKUTE CONTEST NIGHT.

Ekute is a special and ancient musical entertainment pattern which is common in Remo land. The musical lines are very interesting and are commonly launched during Oro festival. 

The African traditional musical instrument "AGIDIGBO is usually used to blend off the Ekute lines as the musicians plays to the satisfaction and enjoyment of their fans and audience. 

This contest is the first of it's kind, and it is organized mainly for the promotion of our local culture and tradition and secondly to encourage those upcoming artists to keep it up in this line of entertainment and it's all for fun.

Bringing them to the daylight for stage performance, we are promoting them and we are promoting our cultural heritage. 

The contest is all for fun and youth encouragement, to make the festival lively and memorable. Attractive prizes is attached to this contest for winners of 1st, 2nd and 3rd position. 

To know ensure the interest of the musicians, it's requested of them to obtain their commitment form at the simple amount of #2,000.

Artists around Remo land are free to take part in this contest. This should also serve as invitation to sons and friends across Remo land to come and have fun. 

Let's all come together and celebrate our culture.

  IN MEMORY OF ODEMO SAMUEL ADETAYO AKISANYA, AFONLADE II ODEMO OF ISARA REMO (1941 - 1985) 126TH BIRTHDAY IN POSTHUMOUS  - The attached video is 56 years old.  When the palace of Great Saki Oba Samuel Akisanya, The late Odemo of Isara was razed down by an irate mob in 1968.  - He was one of the great Nigerian Nationalists and that was his palace where the late Chief Obafemi Awolowo was a regular visitor.  - Odemo Samuel Adetayo Akisanya was born in Isara on the 1st of August, 1898 (126 years ago today)... - HRH S.A Akisanya was a member of the Nigerian Youth Movement. Other members of the Movement which was at that time a quasi-political/pressure group were Nnamdi Azikiwe, Ernest Ikoli, Alvan Ikoku, Akinola Maja, H.O.
