To sons, daughters and friends of Isara Remo at home and abroad, This is to bring it to your notice that 2021 edition of Afotamodi festival is fast approaching.

Saturday, 2nd October, 2021 has been fixed by the planning committee to be the grand finale of the 2021 Afotamodi Festival. 

It's pertinent to note that; as usual, Afotamodi festival is usually celebrated featuring activities relating to cultural, social, education, sporting, musical, pageantry and lot's more outlined into a week-long event. 

It's Only the Football competition that is a little bit different and would have commenced in about two to three weeks before the final match which is usually on Friday i.e the eve of the grand finale day. 

This is due to the fact that, Afotamodi football competition is an interesting game which many teams usually turn up and register to participate in the game.

Afotamodi festival is an interesting moment for sons and daughters of Isara Remo, it brings youths and people of Isara together. It's usually celebrated a month after the Oro festival. 


By first weekend in September, Oro festival 2021 will be celebrated in Isara by God's grace. That's another interesting festival of culture and tradition which encourages the male to cruise around the town and the female to remain indoor from Friday evening to Sunday Morning and enjoy themselves with all sorts of foods and possible refreshments. 

Oro festival is a very interesting one for both male and female, son's and daughters of Isara Remo. 

Please, watch out for 2021 Afotamodi K'ogun Ma Wolu festival. 

This year edition is gonna rock; kindly stay tuned as I promise to bring to you the line by line gist as it approaches.

  IN MEMORY OF ODEMO SAMUEL ADETAYO AKISANYA, AFONLADE II ODEMO OF ISARA REMO (1941 - 1985) 126TH BIRTHDAY IN POSTHUMOUS  - The attached video is 56 years old.  When the palace of Great Saki Oba Samuel Akisanya, The late Odemo of Isara was razed down by an irate mob in 1968.  - He was one of the great Nigerian Nationalists and that was his palace where the late Chief Obafemi Awolowo was a regular visitor.  - Odemo Samuel Adetayo Akisanya was born in Isara on the 1st of August, 1898 (126 years ago today)... - HRH S.A Akisanya was a member of the Nigerian Youth Movement. Other members of the Movement which was at that time a quasi-political/pressure group were Nnamdi Azikiwe, Ernest Ikoli, Alvan Ikoku, Akinola Maja, H.O.
