THE ODEMO OF ISARA INSTALLS NEW SERIKI OF ISARA... 12th June, 2020.



Congratulations on your coronation as the new Seriki of Isara...

Yesterday, the 12th of June, 2020, the coronation of the 4th Seriki in the history of Isara took place at the palace of the Odemo of Isara.

The chieftaincy title which became vacant following the death of chief Ganiu Ogunmona on 15th November, 2019 after over 40years as the Seriki of Isara Remo.

The baton of that office was handed over to Baba Ganiyu Ogunmona by the great General Saaki, the Odemo Samuel Akisanya following the demise of baba Alhaji Odufuwa Seriki of Isara.

It's also noteworthy that, Seriki of Isara chieftaincy title is a title which the families from the ancient Majana-Ogun Compound, Isara Remo is traditionally entitled to.

Historically speaking, MAJANA-OGUN compound is a significant compound in the history of Isara.

This compound, among hundreds of ancient compounds in Isara Remo is the first location where building foundation first took place in Isara over 600years ago. (Agboole tiwon ti koko fi ogiri ile le ile n'Isara)

Their sons in this compound are the people who are entitled to present the Seriki chieftain in Isara and from there came the subsequent 3 Serikis of Isara before, Chief Segun Ganiu came on board.

Kaabiyesi Alaiyeluwa, the Arole Adeyemo and the custodian of the tradition of the people of Isara Remo, baba, Albert Adebose Mayungbe, Erinsiba III deem it fit to confer the Seriki title to one of his subject who doubles as his son from the same Majana-Ogun compound.

Kaabiyesi Alaiyeluwa, the Odemo of Isara is also from Majana-Ogun compound and by believe, I think the calculation to make one of the sons of the late Seriki as the new Seriki of Isara is well known as another son of the house.

Chief Segun Ganiyu, the new Seriki of Isara being a great philanthropist in the outside world, after his conferment as the new Seriki of Isara has in no time extends his philanthropic gesture to the IGA OBA, the palace of the Odemo of Isara by re-phasing the front structure of the palace with a crystal bliss and edifice look base on his believe that before he could take from the town, he has to first contribute.

Yesterday, the coronation of the new Seriki of Isara Remo, Chief Segun Ganiyu took place in style as the whole coronation ceremony was arranged by taking into consideration proper social distancing and other protective measures being part of rules laid down by the federal government to curb the menace of the ravaging COVID-19.

Among other great kings and chiefs from across Remo Kingdom who were there present are the Alaye Ode of Ode Remo, the Eleposo of Eposo Ode Remo and other chiefs viewed on camera are, the Asoju Oba of Isara, Chief Asojuoba Michael Tayo Adesanya, chief Kehinde Osinfade, the Baateru and Otunba Ogunsere Isara Remo, Chief Prince Kenny OyekangunOyekangun, the Agbaakin of Isara. at glance also was one of the son of the late Odemo of Isara Prince Adeniyi Akisanya and other dignitaries with which he was accompanied to the palace for the coronation.

The new Seriki of Isara appreciate God for the success of the coronation ceremony and further thank the Odemo, the Obas there present, the chiefs, his family and the great sons and daughters of Isara from far and near for their well wishes.

To be thoughtful, we could imagine how the celebration must have look like if not for the present state of the nation, but still, all gratitude to God for the success of everything.

It's on this note that I personally congratulate you with wishes that you live long as the Seriki of Isara, and more so, I hope that, as you join the league of elders of the land to play the leadership role to foster unity and peace in the land  thus, bringing continuous progress and serenity to the land, you should also use your level of exposure and connection out there to usher in more progress on the part of our dear Isara Afotamodi k'ogun mawolu.
