  ISARA REMO PEOPLE’S STANDPOINT; A Resolution Reached by the People of Isara Remo at the Town Hall Meeting Held on Sunday, 11th January 2026 on the Issue of the Quarry Companies at Isara Remo.  A decisive community meeting was held in Isara to confront the ongoing injustice surrounding quarry activities in our town and the devastating consequences they have imposed on our people. This meeting marked a turning point in Isara’s resolve to no longer remain silent in the face of exploitation, environmental destruction, and systemic neglect. As a concrete step toward organised resistance and accountability, the Isara Socioeconomic Vanguard was formally established, with Alhaji Taiwo Bakare appointed as Chairman.  This committee is mandated to confront quarry operations in Isara head-on, demand transparency, enforce accountability, and ensure that the community's interests are no longer ignored. Isara Youth Council’s Position on the Petition by Isara Socio-Economic Vanguard

The Isara Youth Council hereby expresses its full support and solidarity with the Isara Socio-Economic Vanguard on the petition submitted to the Ogun State Government and the Ogun State House of Assembly concerning the excessive quarry activities and illegal ticketing operations in Isara-Remo. We acknowledge that the unchecked operations of quarries and the indiscriminate collection of tickets have led to environmental degradation, destruction of roads, threats to public safety, and economic hardship for residents of Isara-Remo, particularly the youth and vulnerable members of the community. The Isara Youth Council strongly believes that development must be lawful, regulated, and people-centered.
